ARAKAZA

Burundi-born Amsterdam-based ARAKAZA leans into hard-hitting beats, from bouncy 4x4 techno to heavy deconstructed club, and gnarly percussion. If you listen closely to his sets, you’ll find that the DJ brings a lot of inspiration from his involvement in the ballroom scene into deejaying. ARAKAZA has a quarterly show, Kumata, on Accra’s Oroko radio, which showcases the bold eclecticism of his music library, and he runs a night at Garage Noord under the same name.
