DJ Lag

Hailing from Durban in South Africa, DJ Lag is a pioneer of the genre that his city is known for: Gqom. His bass-heavy beats have earned this prolific producer and DJ a big fan base in the club scene worldwide. And his talent didn’t stay unnoticed outside of the electronic music world either: in 2019 he collaborated with Beyoncé for her album Lion King: The Gift. By now, DJ Lag's excellent EPs on Goon Club Allstars and Hyperdub have become DJ-essentials to many.
